When I opened my email today, I am flooded with these news and photos from my friends who are beauty contest afficionados or pageant maniacs ...and I am so excited as well. As in one of my friends memorizes the names of all the winners from the year 1960 and has all the video collections of the pageant ... can u imagine??? TRIUMPH AFTER TRAGEDY Four months after her father died in a road accident, Bb Pilipinas Precious Lara Quigaman last night won the Miss Int’l title, the first Filipino in 26 years to capture the crown. Quigaman, a 22 year old fashion model, is the 4th to win Miss Int’l, the last one was Melanie Marquez in 1979. She completed her studies in media production at Filton College in UK and she a course in childhood and youth studies in Bristol. Tragedy struck her family in May when her father died in a road accident in London.
