WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN: A POSTCRIPT TO MU 2011 !!!

Well, I felt so emotionally drained today. We were watching the live telecast of the MISS UNIVERSE 2011 this morning, and I was delirious when Shamcey was called to join the top 16. I was overly ecstatic when she was called in the top ten. Then in the TOP FIVE - I was already praying and holding my breath ... AND there she GOES again !!! My ever loyal gay friend Leah, was there with me holding our hands when she was called in the top five and we were really holding our breath during the Q @ A portion.

UKRAINE, PHILIPPINES, CHINA, BRAZIL & ANGOLA !!! Shamcey without batting an eyelash, give an oustanding answer !!! I could not stop myself shreiking !!! The other girls were using interpreters and Angola was not coherent and she exceeded the time limit (first time that I heard of!)... Shamcey DELIVERED the BEST answer to her question IN COMPARISON and it was really smart and direct to the point AND IN ENGLISH without the AID of an interpreter, something that she would be proud of !!! OMG! The crown is definitely hers !!!(I was also updating my FB while watching and dealing with my emotional outbreak).

BRAZIL, ANGOLA, UKRAINE, CHINA and the WINNER is PHILIPPINES !!! That was my verdict (true to my prediction and prelims judging) !!! And then China was called to be the 4th RU ... (??? was happy bec I thought she would be left standing with Shamcey) ... and I almost died when she was called very early to become the 3rd runner up !!! I was stunned in disbelief !!!

I could not believe I was really crying !!! As if someone died !!!

Well, my friend said that at least she made it to the TOP FIVE, good as the crown itself !!! And that she has really given a brilliant answer to the Q @ A, redeeming Venus last year and even exceeding her rank being the 3rd, this time !!!

I could not REALLY believe it !!! She was selected in the top five and has given the best answer to become the winner !!! And she lost it !!! I think the better word was robbed !!! Even Oprah had something to say "I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion, after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point."

Personally, it is very difficult to accept the result, since Shamcey is really my sentimental candidate but with the biggest possibility of winning and she did WIN it .... but did not get the crown that she rightfully deserved !!! A BIG SHAM of a pageant !!! Last year's Venus, was totally different because her answer to the Q&A was really questionable and even become a national comedy of sorts ... Shamcey gave an impressive answer, that is the whole point. My problem is ... i get totally immersed and involved in this competition !!!

Question : Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person you love? Why or why not?

Miss Philippines - Shamcey Supsup Answer: If I had to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love because the first person that I love is God who created me and I have my faith and my principles and this is what makes me who I am. And if that person loves me, he should love my God too.

. And who would not be proud of that answer ? I could not think of a better version !!! . AFTER THOUGHTS . I have totally lost my faith in the MS UNIVERSE pageant !!! They should really divulge and open up the scores and the method of judging to the public, to clear up the questions, doubts and disappointments of everyone !!! As of now I have totally lost my interest !!! It is sooo whimsical they could just easily prejudged and decided and crown anyone to their whims... :) NOW MY QUESTION IS: What could have happen to the world today if Shamcey was only chosen as MU 2011??? ANSWER: The world could have been a better place to live in :) I SHOULD REST MY CASE, BYE !!!

hey gurls, i have finally decided to blog my annual MS UNIVERSE post with the preliminaries mgoing on tonight and the larest news that MS LEAH SALONGA will be one of the judges in the finals ... OMG !!! I have been venting kasi constantly in FB and forgot to write an entry in blogger but the blog is still my chosen field of self expression ... kasi FB seems to be like your Big Mac Take away lang :) so here goes ...

this is really becoming very exciting ... how about if Shamcy would not make it to the top 15 ??? That is the first thought that comes into my mind... sayang naman na naging judge pa si Leah, diba ??? and how about if she becomes MS UNIVERSE this year, would that imply that Leah S would have got something to do with it ??? OMG !!!

But then, 9C has been a crowd favorite so far and I can see that she is really determined to get the crown and so far there are no devastating news about her... she seems to excel in all the aspects, which is good ... she just needs to be on the TOP FIVE and for sure the Q&A would be the determining factor which I am sure she will crunch just like she did the bar exams :) OMG !!!

hey, pardon my all time unabashed patriotism for the Philippines in MU, but anyone can win in the pageant and if I were to choose then it should be the PHILIPPINES, as I believe that I would be happier with 3 Miss Universe than 2 and this could be one way of uplifting the image of our country somehow during and after her stint - leading to a new successful generation, I just do not like her national costume - butterflies again and now in gold !!!

TRUE ACTION HERO !!!

I have never been interested by action movies and not even slightly inspired by Manny Pacquiao's winning worlwide boxing titles, as I believe that a nation's pride should not be based on one man's punching agonies for whatever reasons .... but this one really moved me and had me wanting for more !!!!

As inspired by entry of Teng "My New Idol", and Mel's "For the Love of Sara", I am expressing my opinion on the recent mayoral incident in Davao City, mainly because I am from that city and know a little bit about the Dutertes.

Watching the youtube video and reading some of the news, it is very clear that the Mayor only acted within her very best intentions - and that is for the powerless poor people in the city. She was clearly outraged and showed her anger without fear !!! Just like a mother to an errant child or (pardon me for mentioning this ..) like Jesus when he showed his anger in the synagogue.

In fact punching the sheriff should be seen as endearing action and much better than straight sacking him off his job.

Now I would love to have a leader like that.... Everyone would have their own opinions but I think honesty is the best policy and I think she was just honest in expressing her feelings and emotions. That is a mark of an impassioned leader !!!

For sure this will be politicized to the highest level and used against her, but a national hero is already there in the making !!!

HAPPY KA NA???

nakalimutan ko na ang maging happy? kailan nga ba ako talagang masaya??? super tagal na. parang song ng "those were the days my friends..." very melancholic!! hayyy... super saya ko noong nasa pinas pa ako ... siguro highschool days... when pag gising mo sa umagang kay ganda super excited ka na sa nga activities for the day ... kahit going to school lang !!! parang ang sayasaya talaga ... and then kahit na sa college and then for a few years na nagwork ako ... despite the financial problems na kung titingnan no ngayon ay so minute ... overall rating ko on the happiness scale is 9 out of ten hahaha!! kasi andun ang daily excitement... never akong nabored and never ko knowing ang meaning nito until now. i was sorrounded by my family, friends and people that are totally connected to your being, your personality and your joys and happiness. i think the opposite of happiness is plain boredom!!! ALIENATION ... when you are living and working overseas or away from home.... especially when you are not closely connected to your people and your culture.... you find ways and all means to be connected ... but nothing compares to the feeling when you are totally immersed and located where your heart and home is :)) akala ko nuon pag mag aabroad ka ... maging super saya ka forever!! super gagah pala ako .. pweding iwanan lahat ng napag umpisahan ko at pinagpaguran for how many years bumalik lang sa inang bayan ... magandang idea sha kaya lang nakapag move on na ako ng milya milya ... baka ang babalikan ko ay isang panaginip lang at mawala na naman ako sa paghahanap ... but this is exciting!!! u cannot have the best of both worlds in your red fingertips ... maybe making the best of what u've got and just keep on moving and exploring is the answer and then u still have beatiful and happy memories you can always visit time and again ... i think i have been watching too much filipino melodrama lately :)

"well, so much and yet not enough has been said and written about ANDREJ PEJIC ... now ultra famous androgynous model (from melbourne) and recently named 98th sexiest girl in FHM !!! bitchy thing to say is that ... but what is really new or big deal about it ?? why the negative reactions like that FHM write up about passing around the sick bucket because Andrej's dream just like yours and mine is to be on the ramp with the angels of Victoria Secrets? for the past decades, the world is not bereft of gay boys who should have been born girls flashed in magazines, televisions and movies - - - and this is true from the far flung districts of Phuket to Bollywood and Las Vegas. But maybe it is not enough ... yet! A tsunami of Andrej Pejics should rule the world :) .." bwahahahhahahahaha !!! well, so much has been said about Andrej ... all i really know and want to say is that ... "sana ganyan rin ako kapayat at kaganda, kainez talagah, hahahahahaha !!!"

CUM FLY WITH ME ...

Wahahahahahahah... wahahahahahaha!!! My houseband and three puppy dogs think I've gone bonkers when I could not stop laughing, screaming, and pounding down the floors as I was crying while watching this new series. Yes, I know, its all late here in Melbourne but Come Fly With Me (Matt Lucas and David Williams) has just graced the Oz television and I am waiting come hell or high winters just to watch this my new favorite show !!! Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!

Relate na relate ako sa dalawang badetch na tosh, kasih naman sa mga smiles pa lang nila talagang nakakatawa nahhhhh !!! And the characterization are really internalized to death even with their eyes, mouth and hand movements ... kainez kamatiz talaga... !!!

Forget na the spirit of racism, stereotyping or shall we say individualism kasih naman, if you cum to think about it, talagang nakakatawa naman talaga ... from a different point of view. But for these reasons, this show is only shown in major cities and not in rural australia where the television networks fear people might get offended raw !!! OMG !!! Kasih nga the Indian population is growing nahhh and they have really made fun of this friendly people in these episodes, kainez :)

Super sireyna talaga ang dating ... hahahahahahaha!!! At least I got this show to raise my libido while wrestling with this horrendous winter, hahahahahahaha !!!! It's soooo appropriate no, since I am also really into my travelling research mood :) Kainezzzzz... :)

hahahahahaha !!! well, in the middle of winter, you cannot really do anything except to work - go home - sleep - wake up - and go to work again !!! but the other night, i wanna break the monotony of it all and cajouled my houseband out of the normal couch and tv and watch a movie instead. so boring no? i was itching for the pirates of the carribean: on stranger tides in 3d : main reason of course was to see the pinoy mermaid :) . was a little bit disappointed because i did not even see her tail !!! hahahaha !!! the star mermaid of course was that french mermaid. she's so captivating ... and i made myself and my houseband believe that she is half pinay half mermaid :) . talking about sirenas ... THIS IS REALLY CLASSIC SUPER SUPER SIREYNA... my favorite sireynas of all time ... BOY ABUNDA hahahahahahaha !!!!! enjoy :) btw... where have all the sireynas gone ???

BLOG MOTIVE - VATES !!!

in my current mood or shall we say interest to travel, i have been looking at the travel sections in search of a good book to read. One book just materialized out of nowhere with a really attractive cover and so decided to buy it ... Travels by Michael Crichton. Oh, i thought he is the director or writer of Jurassic Park and some other books and movies and even television series like ER. I was not even aware until I was reading about him - that he died awhile ago from throat cancer ... ohhh !!! i like the way he wrote the book ... and in one passage he was saying something very striking about life experiences and how writing about it somehow makes it truly your own .. "...if you're a writer, the assimilation of important experience almost obliges you to write about them. Writing is how you make the experience your own, how you explore what it means to you, how you come to possess it and ultimately release it .." so gay and so beautiful !!! so there ... that inspired me to go back into writing or blogging in this instance ... gay thoughts: michael is soo dead now, but his writing lives forever !!! sayang noh? he's so tall pa naman, but he is not gay though the way he writes is very touching, echoserah --- almost seven feet in height and quite handsome or charming. and i was just imagining how he would have looked like in real life.... i saw some photos of him when he was young and he is really cute :) am getting a major crush... i am so fond pa naman of smart and really tall guys, hahahaha! ohh michael !!! back to reading ... :)

FIFI FOOKEH PATAY ATPB !!!

i think it is time to travel. started with thailand. bangkok was what i imagined and more !!!

somehow, i felt like being in the philippines as there are more similarities (in weather and ways of life) and stark differences as you start comparing !!! most of the thais, thought i was thai and talked to me in thai when all i can say is sabateeka :) hahahahaha!!!

compared to singapore and hongkong (and just few Asian places I have been), I think there is some magic and charm in Thailand that makes me want to stay and explore more :) hahahaha!!!

(Wait until i go to Bali .. as I am loving what i have seen and read about the place ... Seminyak??)

i felt a sense of belonging, of being a part of a tribe :) i think the secret why tourists from all ove the world want to visit the country over and over again, is that the people are very lovely and charming and they just leave you alone if you want to ... foreigners go around wherever they like and they generally feel safe .. sadly, unlike in the Philippines !!!

well, as you would know, the main reason why i wanted to go was to go to Pattaya ... AND to see first hand the TIFFANY SHOW !!! I got what i wanted and more !!!

I love Buddhism ... THAI VERSION !!! There is something peaceful ... loving ... and nice feeling whenever i go to a Thai Buddhist Temple. I simply love the food, the way of life and the attitude of the people... i wish i can speak Thai ... maybe i have to learn and become Thai !!! I simply hated being a Filipino now... honestly, and now i understand why foreigners don't like going to the Philippines :) Maybe this is my DESTINY :) ??? To become Thai ??? Buddhist ... hahahahahahha !!!

BLOG ADDICTION !!!

If it is an addiction then, I was having an ultra long withdrawal from blogging! Or was I just super busy with life/work/drag, or facebook ... or was I simply lazy. or All of the above? I think LAZY, more than anything else. But blogging has not really lost its magic on me. I have been reading a lot of old time favorite blogs - gay or not ... and by just reading and following them, you get to know more of another life and another experience. Just knowing what is happening with your favorite blogger is camp enough !!! A little bit of gossip, or news, can give a three minute excitement in ones all too boring existenze :) And facebook is the worst caterer of fleeting and shallow joy :) I wish I have a personal secretary or a better still a multiple personality (just like the movie duplicity) who could update my blog at least once a week ... but then the act of writing and typing your thoughts and publish it on the net for anyone to read is an act of self gratification on a very personal level - that one cannot simply assign it to someone else other than your self. On the other hand, reading another blog is like reading a comic book - you get easily amused and get addicted to it or to the blogger. Or simply to pass time ... Writing or blogging has that reflective element that forces you to purge your thoughts and emotions - - which is hard to do in facebook. It creates deeper connections among bloggers and readers. Reading and following a favorite blog - - - can become an addiction. Writing a blog and getting some reaction on it can be rewarding and therefore also become a constant source of happiness or excitement! Hey, what am talking about ???? I just would like to start blogging again, and I don't know where to start :) So here it is .... MS GAY & TS 2011 was a bit of a disaster for me :) honestly, maybe that is the reason why I need to return to blogging :)
