BACK IN OZ

Hello everyone !!! Belated Happy New Year to one and all. Since I panic before I left, I forgot to make a note of my absence from the blogger world. And all the while I thought I did, until today! Well anyway, we are back in Oz again after a solid 26 days of holidays in the tropical Philippines. And now - I am back to the old grind. Definitely now is the time to remember what exactly we did, for truly i could not recall it all. Ohhh, it was a mixture of feelings.... people here and there, all the noise during pasko and new year, all hectic activities, panic buying for no reasons at all, a time to be merry and just being crazy (i just remember Ricky Martin's song... Living La Vida Loca)... because that sums it all while you are in the Philippines....it seems to me that people in the Philippines has multiplied tremendously like being computer graphics generated to the millions. But everyone seems to be merry and gay..and always smiling. Could be a good thing .... Spent most of our time - three weeks in my ancestral home in Davao. We did a lot of work - - just repairs and renovation of our really very old house of 35 years. Major cleaning up - getting rid of collected paperworks and personal stuff. Imagine we were keeping all our notebooks, memorabilias and all sort of papers, books, etc from grade school to college - boxes and boxes of them - and the collected amount of "rubbish" is phenomenal. After two days of sorting out, I just felt overwhelmed and wanna stop. Anyway, at least we made the house a little bit clutter free and also "fire-hazard free" and this felt good when we left. I also made a plan so as to transform our house and garden into a Balinese/Thai look (charing !!!) I treated the whole family (my parents and my sister's family) for a two days holiday to Pearl Farm which was the crowning event of my holidays. I will elaborate on this later on. I had a special reunion with my highschool classmates - most of whom are professionals (engineers) and are already established in their own fields. I also met two of my close friends in Manila for three days where we also did our final shopping and some nightlife which was really amazing. Anyway, I will post some photos and other related stories to my holiday to the Philippines. More stories on food, pop culture, festivities and shopping, Ohhhh i just love the young pinoys, they are so smart and snuggy - like i could see some bright future there !!!
